Fix Cast to Device Not Working Xbox One
Before performing the solutions, please make sure the device you want to cast to and Windows 10 both are connected to the same network connection.

Press Windows+R > type services.msc > In Services, make sure the following services are NOT disabled.

Also, Go to Adapters > WiFi, and select TRUSTED it. Then your shared content should allow to Cast to the TV.Also, try to disable any antivirus program if you are using it.
Turn On Network Discovery
Press Windows + I to open Settings,Click on the Network and Internet optionThen scroll down on the right side and click on Network & Sharing center.Now, click on Change adapter sharing settings from the left menu.Now, Just choose the radio button saying Turn on Network discovery. Also Turn on File and printer sharing. Finally, click on Save changes.

If you are using this cast-to-device feature with Windows media player then to solve any error just reset streaming permissions with windows media player.
Open the Windows Media Player, click on the Stream button,Make sure you have checked on options from the menu, including “Allow Internet access to home media,Automatically allow the device to play my media”> If not enabled then enable them. This will fix the windows media player cast to the device.
